As an introduction to the Allgäu holidays in Hopfen am See, you can of course take a tour around the lake that gives the lake its name, which offers a variety of beautiful impressions. The tour is about seven kilometres long and is flat and can also be done easily by families with children. Simply start at the lakeside promenade, which Hopfen owes its nickname "Riviera of the Allgäu", and follow the signs around the lake. The changing landscape formations and magnificent views along the route make the tour a pleasure for all senses. If you like, you can make a detour to the castle ruins of Hopfen, which is enthroned on a hill above the village. Although only remains of the oldest stone castle in the Allgäu have survived, the view from up here is truly fantastic.

With the help of a special pen, which is available at the Tourist Information Hopfen am See, you can even play the birds' voices. The magnificent mountain nature also contributes to making this hike a pleasure.
